Talybont has a friendly Village shop and Post Office which carries a fantastic range of both local produce and other day to day items you may require. They also sell freshly made sandwiches and home made cakes for you to take for your day in the hills or boating along the canal. Their range of frozen home made curries are also delicious and worth a try.
Beacons Farm Shop:in nearby Bwlch are also known as the Venison Centre as they farm their own venison. The farm shop has a great selection of other meat and local produce including artisan breads, cheese, cakes and more. Their cafe now has a full menu and some excellent walks from their door.
A short drive away, but well worth the trip, is this restored 18th century barn with spectacular views which offers a selection of home cooked food, light lunches and delicious afternoon teas.
