Horse-drawn beer launch to celebrate canal anniversary

30 & 31st March 2012 – ‘Beacons to the Sea’ Beer Launch and Delivery

Brecon Brewing is launching ‘Beacons to the Sea’ a pale golden ale for the 200th Canal Anniversary.  The first deliveries of the special beer will be made by horse drawn dray through Brecon leaving the Brewery on Friday the 30th March at 10.30am and then leaving the Canal Basin on a narrow boat at 12 midday for transport down the canal delivering to the various pubs alongside the canal on the way.

Times for the deliveries and live events include:

Friday the 30th
Leaving Brecon Brewing at 10.30am, progressing by horse drawn Dray to:
The Castle of Brecon Hotel
The Puzzle Tree, Brecon
The Clarence, Brecon
Arriving at the Canal Basin in Brecon. After photos & loading the canal boat in leaving at 12 noon:

Brecon RFC for approx 1pm

Three Horseshoes, Groesffordd, 2pm – Barrel Race: teams to enter the race to get the barrels from the canal up the hill to the pub.

The Royal Oak, Pencelli for a brief stop

The Star Inn, Talybont – Live Music from in the evening from “Live Stock Davies” Popular Rockabilly Band
