Art, ecology and caring for our mountains

A local artist, Pip Woolf has initiated a project to try to help the recovery of a badly damaged peat bog on top of a mountain a few miles from Talybont. She is using lines of sheep’s wool carried up the mountain and pegged down to try to arrest the erosion of the peat and enable some regrowth of plants.

Some Talybonters joined Pip and other helpers to carry wool up the mountain on Saturday and peg down a new line.
