If you fancy something different why not get off-grid in a luxury shepherds hut located on a family farm just on the outskirts of Talybont on Usk. You’ll be warm as the hut is fully insulated and contains a wood-burning stove. The lights and sockets are powered by an 80W solar panel which should be fine for charging phones etc. Cook either on the top of the stove, BBQ or gas camping hobs. The double bed has plenty of pillows and a sheet but you’ll want to bring your own sleeping bag/s or duvet. There is no water supply to the hut itself but you’ll be able to fill a jerrycan (from the wash hut where there is a toilet and shower) and top up the canteen. You can stroll down in to the village for the shop, cafe and pubs or just chill out and enjoy a peaceful night under the stars.
To book just go to our Talybont on Usk accommodation page and look under self-catering, Aber Farm Shepherd Hut and click on the link.
